About us:
Cobalt Shift, LLC went into business with years of space hardware design experience and a long passion for working in the aerospace industry. However along the team's professional journey, the experience at multiple industry competitors was a trend of excess costs across multiple programs that could have been avoided with smarter design partitioning, cross program compatibility, and overall program planning. Cobalt Shift’s mission is to improve efficiency on every program by means of much more cohesive product and program planning, therefore greatly reducing the lead time for product deliveries while increasing product reliability and performance.
Radiation Tolerant System on Modules
Cobalt Shift is developing a family of System-on-Modules (SoM) to aid in the rapid development and deployment of SmallSat systems, built around Xilinx and Microchip SoCs and FPGAs. These SoMs will include high reliability partition for monitoring and controlling system health, large customizable IO for interfacing advanced payloads and sensors, defined host and payload interfaces utilizing modern IO standards, and a beneficial physical size to accommodate many different spacecraft applications.
Command and Data Handling System
Utilizing Cobalt Shift's family of SoM, we offer a range of digital electronics solutions for C&DH systems. These low-power, compact, and high performance flight computers add capability to meet the needs of any CubeSat, SmallSat, or other extreme environment mission.
CubeSat Star Tracker
Cobalt Shift is currently in development phases of a CubeSat Star tracker. This product offering will provide high accuracy capabilities and angular rates not available on the market today.
